Mercantilism was an economical theory practiced in Europe to the 16 to the 18 century. economist of the period belives that a contries power came from its wills. A country would do everything possible to acquire more gold preferable at the expense of its rivals. a mercantilism country primarily sought gold in 2 ways establishing and exploring colonies an establishing a favorable balance with a rival country.
2. what are the implications of such theory in the european expansion?
at the time of colombus discovery of america, europe was in a state of war. the crusades brough about trade contacts with the east , trade from the east came to the europeans continent through the byzantine empire and then by sea to venice and genoa. the city-states of venice and genoa had became the chief trading centers for the import of spices and other commodities from the far east. trade technological know from the muslims.

an economicx system based on a private ownership an on the investment of money in business, ventures in order to make a profit.
4. what has been the evolution of capitalism throuhout the 20 century?
there was a big criticism and rejection to capitalism because of the russian revolution in 1917 and 10 years later became the great depresion , increassing critism of the exiting capitalis system. In the years after the world war II capitalism become a widely accepted method of goverment regulation.
the rise of finantil markets, the analysis of market trends and the incresing globalization of production and consumption are other characteristics of the capitalism in the 20 centuty.

yes it is because is like the same with the colonization and the globalization. wethink that the only thing that change is the word because is almost the same definition, the only think that change are the times and for that raeson the economical bases that capitalismwere created.
